TAETS 380 Pile Breakers -
Circular pile breaker (Full link)
Pile breakers dramatically increase productivity and safety when
compared to conventional jack-hammer breaking.
Thyssenkrupp Steelcom has supplied Abigroup the TAETS Type 380
required for the breaking of up to 400 concrete piles at the Kooragang
Island project, some of which have a strength of 50 MPa and 10
reinforcement bars. The concrete piles ranged from 600mm to 900mm
in diameter.
The TAETS Type 380 performed very well in this job. The minimum
diameter that the 380 can crush is 550mm. For this particular job
it was breaking four (4) concrete piles in 20 minutes.

Taets Pile Breakers were used to make easy work of the cast in-situ
concrete piles of the box drain and swimming pool. A Type 314 circular
pile breaker with infill links was used to break both the 400mm
and 600mm diameter piles.

Chevron Re-development
Rapcivic were attracted to the speed and low noise operation of
hydraulic pile breakers given the dense city location of the development.
The Type 380 is the largest hydraulic pile
breaker available, capable of breaking circular piles from
600mm to 1800mm in diameter.
