Construction of a new seawall to replace old one

Steelcom has recently supplied Emanon the Müller Excavator Mounted Vibrator (MS-7 HFBS) for application on its current BHP Remediation project in Mayfield (Newcastle) NSW.

The work comprised of the extraction of the old seawall and replacement with a new one. The MS-7 HFBS excavator offers an eccentric moment of 7.0m.Kg and centrifugal force of 604kN. Emanon is working for BHP and Steelcom supplied the Larssen L601 steel sheet pile ranging from 6m-12m. Emanon fabricated an extra long goose neck for their excavator to drive the 12m sheets.

The new Müller Excavator Mounted Vibro HFBS series are swivel head vibrators. This means that they are able to pick up the pile sections to be driven from the horizontal position. The vibro swivels from the vertical to the horizontal position by automatically unlocking holding pins.

Müller-vibrator’s ease of operation, low maintenance requirements and long service life makes it an economic and dependable choice.
