Sheet Pile Tie Bars > Macalloy 17MHS
Upgraded -
Macalloy 17MHS 460 to 17MHS 520
Macalloy have recently updated their marine tie-bar system from 17MHS 460 to
17MHS 520.
The M520 is approximately 14% stronger than the traditional Grade
460, and will in some cases allow a smaller diameter bar to be
used, thus offering significant savings.
The 17MHS 460 is still available until further notice.
Below is the Tendon Capabilities showing the increased yield loads.

Steelcom
sell Macalloy 17MHS sheet pile tie bars. The 17MHS tie bars have
been used in some of the most prestigious steel sheet piling projects
in the world for over 45 years.
Macalloy 17MHS is a high strength weldable steel used as the standard
bar for tie bars.
A wide range of compatible end connections and fittings have
been developed to complement the range of bar diameters from M42
to M100 (smaller diameters are available on request).
Building on the success of the now standard 460 yield of the 17MHS
grade tie bar, M105 rolled threads are now available, combined
with the special to order 17MHS 500 grade material we can now provide
a tie bar with a massive 3825 kN. yield load.
